Job Summary

Our client based in EU is looking for Structural Test Engineer. It is a contract position.

Job Skills

Required experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the development / follow-up of structural tests

Able to define from scratch and follow complex structural tests

Technical skills:

Deep knowledge and understanding of the various test environments and test methods (static, oscillatory, vibratory, endurance, thermal...)

Good knowledge of mechanics and materials

Basic knowledge of Finite Element Modelling and stress analysis (static strength + fatigue & damage tolerance for both metallic and composite structures)

Important soft skills:

Attention to detail,

Setting priorities,

Speaking and writing clearly, 

Teamwork,

Synthesizing, o Judgement, 

Flexibility,

Creativity

Tools:

CATIA V5, Microsoft tools

Language:

Good level in English is mandatory (spoken & written)

Required Education level:

Master’s degree in mechanical / Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent)

Job Description


The test engineer is responsible for the definition and good execution of the structural tests he/she is charged with. This implies:

  • Being the focal point for information gathering and sharing regarding these tests (with the lab, design office, tooling department...)

  • In concertation with the other teams, define the test specifications and follow the test preparation and execution to ensure they are met.

  • Follow on a daily basis the test execution. Consult the other teams and present preliminary results as needed.

  • Manage/follow the test planning and budget.

  • When the test is finalised, redact the test report, or check its redaction.
