In this position, you will work in our Engineering Center in Emmen and its a contract position.

Job Skills

  • BSc, MSc in Electrical and/or Avionics engineering, aerospace engineering or equivalent
  • Least 8 years' experience in electrical and avionics systems design
  • Experience with certification of design / design changes of electrical and avionics systems (previous CVE experience is preferred)
  • Appropriate knowledge of AC2X.1309, SAE ARP 4754 and SAE ARP 4761 and has experience in the creation of FHA & SSA's
  • Appropriate knowledge of Human Factors for Flight Deck Design and of “Electrical Wiring Interconnection System”
  • Knowledge of RTCA DO-16, 0RTCA DO-178B (EUROCAE ED-12B), RTCA DO-254 (EUROCAE ED- 80), ISO/IEC 12207 (Software Lifecycle Processes) and ISO/IEC 15288
  • Thorough understanding of EASA - and / or EMAR part 21 Subpart J (DOA) requirements related to CVE Tasks
  • In-depth understanding of one or more of the following EASA Certification Specifications CS23, CS25, CS27, CS29
  • Good communication skills in English and satisfactory knowledge of German (reading and spoken)

Job Description

  • Works in OoA and reports directly to Chief OoA Create and review in collaboration with the COoA and other CVEs involved in the project certification relevant documents e.g. Certification Plan, Certification and Compliance Sheets, Certification Reports.

  • Responsible for the verification and approval of the compliance demonstration documentation in his area of expertise for the projects assigned to him / her.

  • Coordinate on assigned projects with his / her counterparts in the certification authority, project related and certification matters as needed

  • Act for assigned projects on certification matters as OoA point of contact for engineering and Engineering Project Leaders

  • Act as electrical and avionics systems specialist for the OoA which will involve keeping up-to-date on regulations Training and mentoring engineering staff in structural certification issues

  • Witness certification related testing within his scope of authorization

  • Depending on workload distribution and project prioritization, providing support to design engineering with the creation and / or checking of design and analysis
