Our Client currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs. Our client is Powerplant Systems Engineer (J76 Engine Control Expert) Working on site, location Zürich area, Switzerland on an exciting new Helicopter Project. Qualifications, experience
►Bachelor or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering
►Minimum 4 years of experience with rotorcraft or aircraft propulsion systems (i.e. Engine Control and Indication, Intake, Exhaust, Oil/Fuel System, Engine Mounts and Fire Detection & Seals)
►Experience in the Development of Avionic Systems and Safety Analysis Assessments are an asset
►Experienced to discuss and agree detailed technical documentation with EASA regarding engine controls and indications
►Ability to review electrical interface drawings, wiring and circuit diagrams
►Ability to review 3D solid models and 2D drawings in CAD
►Ability to coordinate and manage the engine control and engine indication system development efforts for the propulsion systemsindependently with minimal supervision and a pro-active sense of communication
►At least 4 years of experience with Siemens NX or other CAD software
►At least 2 years of requirement management experience (Doors or similar)
►English minimum B2 (verbal and written)
Job Description
Responsibilities
►Focal point for the engine integration, specifically the development of the engine controls and engine indication incl. all relevant units and components and certification compliance
►System Engineering activities of the engine integration like requirements management, supplier management, internal and external stakeholder management
►Coordinate activities with other engineering teams (Avionics, Electrical, Flight physics, Flight Operations, Transmissions, Structures, AC Integration, GP&C and Safety) with regard to system interfaces and overall engine integration into the helicopter
►Liaise engine manufacturer and component suppliers
►Manage flight test events, safety analysis and open problem reports with the engine manufacturer and component suppliers
►Flight Test Operations support incl. flight test data review and analysis
►Define, maintain and demonstrate compliance to functional system/aircraft and certification requirements supported by crucial documentation such as Flight Test Orders, System Description Document, Ground and Flight Test Reports, Acceptance Test Procedure, System Flight Clearance, Requirements Compliance Assessment, qualification test orders etc.
►Requirements management and technical responsibility of the propulsion control and indication system including engine electrical and system interfaces
►Definition, Preparation, Execution and reporting of critical certification flight tests and avionics test including root cause investigation and problem solving activities.
►Technical Leadership to manage the certification progress as per program plan and responsibility for coordinating the system requirements verification activities
►Coordinate and lead on the system design, integration, qualification, testing, and certification activities with internal departments, suppliers and other service providers
